I had to read this book for English class, and I chose it because it seemed like an interesting plot. The entire story takes place
over three days, and I was entertained! It was a really cute story that was pretty relatable; not that I've ever invited myself to
a honeymoon or anything, but the youth that's captured and a lot of its philosophies are really relatable. McCullers did a terrific
job with wording everything well. I can't say much because the content of the book would be given away, but I loved the colloquial, American writing style and the funny, realistic events in the story. I was a bit disappointed with the closing, and finding out that everything was metaphorical, but it was a great read that kept me wanting more. I wish the book had continued because it was so entertaining. |
| Recommendation | I'd recommend this book to any young reader, from middle school up, or adult who's interested in American literature and the wonders of youth. |
